The Shabtai Levi Home is a residential facility and emergency center for infants and young children. Located in Haifa, the home shelters about 100 children each year and is the only facility of its kind in Israel.

The children, who range in age from newborn to seven years, all have a history of severe neglect or abuse. Most were born with the potential for normal development, but having been affected by early traumatic experiences, they need special care.

Our mission is to provide warmth, personal attention, individualized professional treatment, and a suitable quality of life for each child in residence. Our small but efficient multidisciplinary team, aided by volunteers, provides psychosocial, educational, paramedical and health diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.

Each child in our facility requires devoted care to enable them to rejoin the mainstream, and perhaps even their families.
