Let's make the Month of May the official Digestive Motility Awareness Month in every State and Canadian Province.

For our campaign to become official, the proclamation needs to be signed by the state governor or provincial premiere. This action will only be taken at the request of a state or provincial resident.

Please help us make this official in your state or province. If you do not see your state or province listed below, then please mail in or fax in our sample letter and proclamation to your state governor or provincial premiere.

Here are the steps for getting the proclamation recognized in your area:

1. From the links above, find out who is your governor or premier. Copy and past their address into our sample letter/proclamation.
2. Our sample letter and proclamation are active documents. You just need to fill-in the necessary information from your computer.
3. Print these off and either fax or mail them in.
4. In a week or two, be sure to follow-up with a phone call to the governor, or premiere's office.
5. If you receive a commitment from your elected official's office that they will sign the proclamation, please let us know and we will include this on our list.

Bring Awareness to your Community

Here are some other ideas on how you can participate in our campaign. Don't forget to request an awareness package.

• During the month of May, set up a information table at your local hospital, medical clinic, public library, church, or shopping mall
• Distribute our public service announcement, or take our information pamphlets to your doctor's office
• Ask your friends or local booster club to help organize a walk-a-thon to raise funds to support GPDA's objectives
• Ask your friends and relatives to help deliver our message into the community by organizing a booth at a workplace or by placing posters around a neighbohood
